Introduction

In Germany EU requirements on nickel are transposed into national law via "Bedarfsgegenständeverordnung, BedGgstV, 10.04.1992. Last changed 8.08.2007".

Defined Restrictions:
0.2 microgram/cm2/week (migration limit) for items pierced into the human body
0.5 microgram/cm2/week in articles coming into direct and prolonged contact with skin.
