Introduction
Norway has transposed, insofar as necessary, and implemented the EU legislation imposing restrictions on chemical substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), including the RoHS Directive (Directive 2002/95) and the REACH Regulation (Annex XVII) (Regulation 1907/2006).
Norway has not enacted any chemical restrictions going beyond the restrictions imposed by EU legislation.
For an overview of the REACH Regulation's various programs and requirements (registration, notification, supply chain information, authorization, and restrictions), please refer to EU Restricted Substance page.
