Introduction

Estonia has transposed, insofar as necessary, and implemented the EU legislation imposing restrictions on chemical substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), including the RoHS Directive (Directive 2002/95) and the REACH Regulation (Annex XVII) (Regulation 1907/2006).

For an overview of the REACH Regulation's various programs and requirements (registration, notification, supply chain information, authorization, and restrictions), please refer to EU Restricted Substance page.

For substance-specific information, please use the restricted substance database. In addition to the chemical restrictions discussed in this report,Estonia also impose restrictions on certain chemicals in batteries (Directive 2006/66) and packaging (Directive 94/62, as amended). Please refer to the country reports for these topics on EIATRACK.
