Introduction

The Chinese national standard for textile products "GB 18401-2003 National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products" was published by State General Administration of the People’s Republic of China for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine on 27th November, 2003. The standard replaced the existing "GB 18401-2001 Formaldehyde in Textiles " and came into effect on 1st January 2005.

This standard specifies general safety requirements for textile products according to the regulations of Standardization Law of the People’s Republic of China and Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China.
