Norway - Restricted Substances Overview

The Norwegian authorities have adopted new legislation the use of (Decabromodiphenyl ether) decaBDE. DecaBDE can be used as a flame retardant in textiles, upholstering.
This new legislation amends the Norwegian Product Regulation and forms an addition to the existing provisions on the use of Brominated flame retardants (pentaBDE and octaBDE).
The new requirements on the use of Brominated flame retardants will be as follows:
