China Notifies WTO on Intended Leather and Fur Product Requirements

China - Azo dyes, Formaldehyde

In line with requirements that entered into force in 2005 (see alert ECO-track Reg Alert, December 15, 2004), China is now proposing restrictions for formaldehyde and hazardous amines from azo dyes in leather and fur. The title of the proposed standard is “National Standard of the P.R.C., Leather and Fur - Limit of Harmful Matter”.
