EU Directive on PFOS Enters into Force

As mentioned in the regulatory alert of 9 January 2007, the European Union has published a Directive which restricts the use of PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfonates). The requirements set in Directive 2006/122/EC amending Directive 76/769/EEC on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations entered into force on 27 June 2007.
