Sweden about to repeal ban on DecaBDE

Sweden - Restricted Substances Overview

In response to a legal threat from the European commission, on 8 May 2008 the Swedish government has announced that it will repeal the ban on the brominated flame retardant Decabromodiphenyl ether (DecaBDE CAS number 1163-19-5). This ban covers, among others, textile and upholstery products.
