- Restricted Substances Overview

Question:

A few years back 3Ms Scotchgard was voluntarily reformulated to avoid some of the bioaccumulation problems associated with the precursors PFOS/PFOA during production. Can you take a look at the issues swirling around Teflon (and other perfluorinated compounds) and put together a summary of what you are seeing globally? There is some research on-going and that currently the EPA is not recommending that Teflon be abandoned. Are you aware of NGOs or governments that are currently targeting Teflon or similar compounds?
